Sergey Gurin, MBA

Sergey Gurin and our founder, Max Temnik, have worked together on several start-ups. Prior to joining our team, in 2012, Gurin started Helpful Alliance Company, - a company developing an alternative to a mortgage-based home ownership, trying to solve the home affordability dilemma. From 2008 to 2015, Gurin and Temnik developed Helpful Technologies Inc. from non-existence to achieving a private valuation of ~$250 million. Prior to 2008, Gurin had founded numerous somewhat-successful start-ups, and developed several innovations in the automotive, alternative energy, and construction industries. He is an inventor named on 19 patents and a recipient of The Golden Medal award in 2000 and 2021 from Eureka - the international exhibition of breakthrough technologies. 

In 1987, Mr. Gurin concluded studying molecular and nuclear physics at Ural Federal University (one of the top ranked scientific schools in Russia) to start his own business, and then went back to school, earning master's degree in finance in 1995. Sergey Gurin benefits our business with over 30 years of experience in entrepreneurship and managing development stage companies, and more specifically with the expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business combinations, financial and investment matters, transaction negotiation and structuring, and capital sourcing.
